Karen completed the printmaking Certificate course at University of Brighton in 1996. She lived in Brighton for several years before moving to Isfield, a small village near Uckfield,
East Sussex. " My images are created using Lithography and linocuts. For my lithographies, I print on a Deffa for large work or the smaller Globe press. Both traditional presses are based at BIP-ART premises in Kemp Town, Brighton. For Linocuts, I use a Polymetall etching press that I have at my studio in Isfield. I print small editions of my work to sell and show."
"My images are created with feeling, light and colour and I am inspired often by the first impression I see of a land or sea scape and from there on I build my image."
Karen is a member of The Printmakers Council, BIP Art & Sussex Arts Collective.
